What are you going to see and do?

• Discover the bustling heart of Albania, the capital Tirana. Take a city walk (on day 1), enjoy the view from Mount Dajti and visit the Grand Park (on day 2) and enjoy a traditional Albanian cultural evening with music and delicious dishes.
• Drive from Tirana to Shkoder. View Shiroke, enjoy a traditional Albanian lunch and discover Shkoder-by-Night (on day 3).
• Continue the trip to Kruje, via the village of Lehze and visit an Albanian winery (on day 4).
• Then drive to the historic town of Berat and take a moment on the way to visit the harbour town of Durres. Take a city walk through Berat and enjoy traditional Albanian dishes in the evening (on day 5).
• The journey to Kolonje goes from Berat. Along the way a historic open-air museum is visited (on day 6).
• Then the journey goes to Pogradec, on Lake Ohrid. Along the way the historic town of Elbasan is visited. In Pogradec there is plenty of time for a walk along the lake with a visit to a fish restaurant in the evening (on day 7).
• On the last day (8) of the tour you drive back to the starting point via Elbasan: Tirana.

What does Amazing Albania Travels do?

• AAT ensures the organization of the tour.
• AAT ensures that travelers get good descriptions of destinations, accommodations and excursions.
• The main traveler receives all travel documents needed to complete the trip successfully and relaxed.
• We ask for a fixed management allowance of €125 per traveler for organizing the tour.

What is included in the management fee; What can you expect?

• A balanced travel schedule containing destinations, accommodation and excursions.
• A clear directions to the destinations, accommodation and excursions.
• Bookings of all accommodations (4*hotels, parking, free WiFi and the like) in the name of the main traveler:
  • Tirana (day 1 and 2).
  • Shkoder (day 3).
  • Kruje (day 4).
  • Kolonje (day 5).
  • Pogradec (day 6).
• Reservation of the rental car in the name of the main traveler; Rented from day 3 to day 8.
  • Rental car is picked up and returned to Tirana Centre.
  • A (small) SUV is rented (class: Hyundai Venue).
  • Car insurance.
• Reservations in the name of the main traveler of the following excursions:
  • Day trip to Mount Dajti and Grand Park Tirana.
  • Cultural evening in Tirana.
  • Traditional lunch in Shkoder.
  • Visit to winery.
  • Traditional dinner in Berat.
  • Historical Open Air Museum.
  • Fish restaurant in Pogradec.
• A travel budget with an overview of all costs (fixed and expected). The price in the period May 2024 is approximately € 600 per person for a travel group of 2 people (a couple).
• Payments:
  • In principle no prepayment takes place by travelers, with the exception of: AAT management allowance of € 250 (for 2 people); this is paid by the main traveler when accepting the assignment to organise the tour and the down payment for the rental car.
  • The costs of the rental car amount to approximately € 350 (in May 2024) and are paid by the main traveler upon arrival from the rental company (comment: the rental company asks for a deposit; This is reserved on the credit card).
  • The travelers provide fuel for the rental car. This amount will be approximately € 150 (if the route description is followed), to be paid at gas stations.
  • The accommodations and excursions are paid by the main traveler on arrival (accommodation) or afterwards (excursions). The amount for the accommodation is approximately € 550 (for 2 people in May 2024) and for the excursions around € 200 (for 2 people in May 2024).

• Travel insurance for travelers.
• Personal expenditure during the trip.
